The Pattern Map

You can’t change a pattern you can’t see. Fourteen nights, three questions, and your code becomes visible. From Phase 1 of The Human Playbook.

Q1

Where did I react today, instead of choosing?

The moments that ran on autopilot — the snap, the scroll, the yes you didn’t mean. Just name them. No judging.

Q2

What happened right before?

That’s the trigger. Patterns don’t fire randomly; they’re cued. The cue is where the rewrite happens later.

Q3

What did the reaction protect me from feeling?

The honest one. Every pattern serves something — boredom, fear, an old story. Naming it takes its power.

After 14 days: read it all back

The same two or three patterns will appear again and again. Circle them. That’s not coincidence — that’s your code. And code you can see is code you can rewrite.

If reading your own answers stings a little: good. That’s the pattern noticing it’s been seen. The rewrite itself — cue redesign, replacement routines, identity work — is the rest of The Human Playbook.
